Woodlands Checkpoint Live Traffic Cameras
Woodlands Checkpoint is the Singapore end of the Causeway, the crossing almost everyone uses to reach Johor Bahru. Clear immigration here and you roll across the Causeway to Bangunan Sultan Iskandar (BSI) on the JB side. On the way home you come off the Causeway and straight onto the BKE. It is the shortest hop to central JB, which is why it carries the heaviest traffic of the two land crossings.

Open the live Woodlands cameras on RoadKaki. The LTA feeds show the actual cars queuing at the checkpoint approach, so you can judge the wait yourself instead of trusting a stale estimate.
When does Woodlands jam the worst?
Weekday mornings heading into Singapore and weekday evenings heading back to JB, because thousands commute across daily. Friday nights, Sunday evenings, the eve of public holidays and school holidays are the brutal ones. Aim for late night or mid-morning if you have a choice.
Can motorcycles skip the car queue?
Woodlands has dedicated motorcycle lanes that move separately from the car queues, so bikes usually clear far faster than cars during a jam. It is one reason so many people commute across on a motorbike.
Can I walk across the Causeway when it is jammed?
People do. During bad jams some cross on foot after clearing immigration, and there are public buses (the Causeway Link and SBS/SMRT cross-border services) that use the same lanes but let you skip driving and parking. If the car queue is hours long, the bus or walking can genuinely be faster.
Should I use Tuas instead?
If Woodlands looks packed and you are not tied to central JB, Tuas Second Link is often quicker even with the longer drive out west. Check both live camera feeds before you commit.
